Deloitte Welcomes Over 1700 Graduates and Apprentices to Its Ranks

Many of the existing Asset Reconstruction Companies (ARCs) face a significant challenge due to insufficient capital to assist banks in clearing debt and dealing with the losses incurred from Non-Performing Assets (NPAs). Consequently, establishing new ARCs with robust capitalization could prove highly advantageous, not only for the banks but also for the overall economic condition of the country.

In an exciting development this week, Deloitte is set to welcome more than 1,700 individuals to its renowned graduate program, BrightStart apprenticeship, and Industrial Placement initiatives. This induction will take place through a blend of in-person and virtual sessions across 16 locations throughout the United Kingdom*.

Deloitte’s graduate program has received recognition, ranking fourth in the Times Top 100 Graduate Employer list, and securing a spot in the prestigious Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers list.

Newcomers to Deloitte will embark on a two-day induction program, either virtually or in person, during their first week. This program will encompass various skills sessions, including confidence-building, mindset development, and networking. In the second week, they will engage in face-to-face induction activities to acquaint themselves with their respective business areas.

Deloitte Welcomes Over 1700 Graduates and Apprentices to Its Ranks

Deloitte’s early careers programs offer invaluable technical training opportunities and the pursuit of professional qualifications. These programs maintain a 50:50 balance between online and in-person learning. Earlier in the year, the firm hosted “Early Careers Week,” a virtual event dedicated to the professional development of first and second-year graduates, BrightStart apprentices, and placement students.

Jackie Henry, managing partner for people and purpose at Deloitte, expressed her pride in the incoming graduates, apprentices, and placement students. She emphasized that they would be equipped with the skills necessary to thrive in an ever-evolving work environment. Their fresh perspectives and innovative ideas are expected to make a meaningful impact on Deloitte’s clients and the firm as a whole.

Ben Newton, who recently achieved the remarkable distinction of becoming the first of Deloitte’s BrightStart apprentices to be promoted to partner, extended a warm welcome to the new joiners. He highlighted the unique journey ahead of them, one filled with opportunities not only to advance their careers but also to contribute to shaping the firm and society’s future. Ben shared his personal experience of choosing the BrightStart apprenticeship, citing the chance to earn while studying for the ACA chartered accountant qualification and gaining early exposure to the world of work as decisive factors in his success.

Deloitte’s graduate program offers participants permanent positions with competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits, and ample opportunities for learning, development, and advancement. Graduates have the privilege of collaborating with some of the industry’s most talented professionals and can make a daily impact on projects aligned with their interests.

The Deloitte BrightStart apprenticeship offers a unique “earn-while-you-learn” experience, combining professional and degree-level qualifications. Apprentices not only study for fully funded, recognized professional qualifications but also gain valuable project experience and client exposure from day one.

Lastly, the Industrial Placement at Deloitte provides undergraduates with a twelve-month paid work experience program. This opportunity allows them to train and work alongside the firm’s first-year graduate intake, further enriching their skills and knowledge.

In conclusion, Deloitte’s commitment to fostering talent and providing diverse career pathways through its graduate, apprenticeship, and placement programs reflects its dedication to excellence in professional development. The influx of over 1,700 new members into these programs signifies a bright future for both the individuals and the firm itself.
