Responsibilities of AR Caller – HB (Hospital Billing)
- Ensure timely resolution of unpaid or denied hospital claims.
- Proactively call insurance companies to check claim status (pending, denied, under process, or paid).
- Work on aged claims (30/60/90/120 days) and reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
- Initiate corrective actions — resubmission, appeals, or coordination with billing/coding team.
- Identify the denial reasons (e.g., coding errors, eligibility issues, duplicate claims, timely filing).
- Track recurring denials and report trends to management.
