- Auditing and Quality Assurance: Reviewing the work of junior coders for accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines and regulations. This includes both internal audits and external audits in response to payer or regulatory inquiries.
- Complex Coding Cases: Handling more complex or specialized coding cases that require advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding guidelines.
