Job Responsibility For General ledger Account Role
- Maintaining General Ledger: Record and maintain the company’s financial transactions in the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and standards.
- Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries to reflect various financial transactions, such as revenue, expenses, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and resolve any discrepancies or variances. This includes reconciling bank accounts, intercompany accounts, and other general ledger accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Generate reports and provide analysis of financial data as required.
- Month-end and Year-end Close: Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial activities, such as reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
