Job Responsibility For Service Desk Role

  • First Point of Contact: You serve as the first point of contact for end-users who require technical assistance or have IT-related issues. This includes answering phone calls, responding to emails, and receiving in-person inquiries.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: You analyze and diagnose technical problems reported by end-users, attempting to resolve them remotely or by providing step-by-step guidance. This involves identifying the root cause of the issue and implementing appropriate solutions or workarounds.
  • Incident and Request Management: You log and track incidents and service requests using a ticketing system, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation of user issues, resolutions, and follow-up actions.
  • Technical Support: You provide technical assistance for hardware, software, network, and application-related issues. This may involve guiding end-users through software installations, system configurations, and troubleshooting common IT problems.
  • User Account Management: You handle user account management tasks, such as creating, modifying, or disabling user accounts, resetting passwords, and granting or revoking access permissions based on established procedures and policies.
