What You Will Be Doing As Automation Test Engineer

• Write and execute test cases for development of new features, change requests or defect fixing based on user stories or business requirements.
• Develop and execute test cases using tools like Postman, SoapUI or curl for testing RESTful APIs exposed by microservices and maintain them.
• Develop, execute, and analyse performance tests using tools like JMeter.
• Deployment and testing on local or testing environments.
• Providing inputs for documentation
• Troubleshoot or debug field issues as and when required.
• Keep Jira and Confluence updated as per established practices.

Skills Required for Automation Test Engineer

• Test Automation Tools: Proficiency in using test automation tools is essential. Familiarity with popular tools such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, or others specific to your organization’s tech stack is necessary to create and execute automated test scripts.
