The AtkinsRéalis Freshers and Graduates Internship opportunity in India is seeking applications of enthusiastic graduates in Chemical engineering and environmental engineering to work in its vibrant workforce in the water and waste water treatment industry. This position provides a practical view of how to design and develop process systems that are essential in the contemporary water infrastructure and environmental sustainability. You will work in practical projects, as an intern, by being active in designing and optimizing the specific treatment processes which are physical, chemical and biological treatment in the water purification process as well as the wastewater management. You will collaborate directly with high-seasoned engineers to create process flow diagrams (PFDs), assist with the creation of P&IDs and carry out simple engineering computations associated with mass balance, chemical dosing, and system effectiveness.

Your role as a Intern
- Clean water treatment (DFs, RGFs, disinfection, filters, membrane filtration, etc).
- Wastewater treatment (ASP, TF, RBC, SBR, SAF, MBBR, MBR, etc).
- Dosage system Chemical (chemical removal, adjustment of pH, etc).
- Sludge treatment ( [Centrifuge, Filter press, Thickener etc).
- Septicity and odour treatment.
- Choice of process and process computations,
- Preparation of site layout,
- Process Flow Diagram & Mass balance calculations,
- Process and Instrumentation Diagrams,
- Process control philosophy,
- All project life cycle technical report writing.
- Working within new innovative ideas/ offering suggestions regarding innovation.
- Capable of working together with broader team on multidisciplinary projects.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and energy and is self-driven.
Essential Skills:
- Excellent English language skills in both written and verbal form.
- Computer literate, Microsoft Office i.e. Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Must have a keen eye for details.
- Must be able to communicate with internal/external customers and colleagues in a professional manner.
- Must be organised and able to be flexible.
- Ability to work collaboratively.
