Avalara Careers, Work from Home Jobs – Roles & Responsibility for Vendor Risk Management Analyst
- Support in analyzing due diligence results and conduct periodic monitoring.
- Assist in the application of project management principles and practices to vendor risk assessments.
- Contribute to the assessment of completeness of vendor data and help in documentation.
- Participate in risk assessments of existing vendors.
- Aid in gathering due diligence information from current and potential vendors for assessments and complete corresponding documentation and risk summary reports.
- Assist in performing new and recurring risk assessments, contribute to mitigation plans, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to assign remediation responsibilities.
- Support in implementing processes to monitor a vendor’s portfolio using a risk-based approach which includes review vendor provided System and Organization Control reports (SOC) reports and assist in issues management processes to coordinate lists of remediation plans from vendor risk assessments.
- Collaborate with business units in developing and implementing controls to effectively mitigate risks inherent in each vendor relationship.
- Contribute to the administration of issue monitoring and exception tracking, and when necessary, support remediation actions to improve overall vendor performance.
- Collaborate effectively with business units and internal stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of vendor processes and controls.
- Assist in tracking and preparing reporting for leadership on status of risk assessments, risk ratings, and ongoing monitoring.
- Aid in identifying critical vendors.
- Support in the setup of vendor risk management system, as required.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
