Roles & Responsibilities For CPC Certified Medical Coders
- Medical codes and terms must comply with formal coding systems endorsed by the healthcare industry or designated authorities, usually through release of specific manuals.
- Finalisation of clinical documentation and coding
- Spot patient records that lack necessary information, contain coding errors or have inconsistent data.
- You help in medical billing and insurance claim processing by providing accurate coding
- Review overturns disputes and address under-coding.
- Work with healthcare providers, billing teams and insurance departments in clarifying documentation.
