Key Responsibilities of an Software Engineering
- Construct and implement batch and streaming data pipelines on the Lakehouse and AI data platform.
- When necessary, modernize data flows to increase reliability, performance and ease of maintenance.
- When necessary, build tools to increase the speed of data pipeline delivery and improve operational support and consistency.
- Design data flows and pipelines to be operational and scalable.
- Data Modeling and Curation
- Construct data sets, organized, and formatted in a way that is ready for analytical processing and aids reporting and AI derived use cases.
- Utilize proper data modeling to accurately captured business needs, relationships and the evolution of business entities over time.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create data products, models and/or pipelines that fulfill the stated business needs and requirements and are easy to use.
- Data Quality and Reconciliation
- Establish a system of checks to ensure data integrity and quality within and across data flows and data sets.
- Construct production data quality frameworks and investigate data quality issues when they are encountered.
- Develop and foster data quality and framework for testing and monitoring data quality issues.
Eligibility Criteria
- Over 1 years of experience
- Degree and/or coursework in relevant field, or equivalent experience, plus demonstrated quantitative and/or data engineering skills
- Strong hands-on programming experience in Python or Java
- Understanding of SQL and its use for troubleshooting, optimization and data analysis
- Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of new tools, internal platforms, and delivery workflows
- Knowledge of software engineering principles including version control, testing, releases, CI/CD, etc.
