Roles & Responsibilities For System Reliability Engineer
- Be proficient in scripting languages -Python/Shell scripts.
- Has BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent. (CS or similar preferred) and have 2-5 years of direct experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Production Operations.
- Have knowledge of Linux systems admin, particularly Ubuntu.
- Participate in on call shifts and incident management work after hours/weekends for infra change/deployment.
- Utilize analytics and intuitive systems to troubleshoot aggressive system issues.
- Deploy build automation, configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible), and IaC provisioning tools (e.g. Packer/Terraform).
- Use the CI/CD pipelines (such as Jenkins or GitLab CI) and version control systems (including Git).
- Experience in running bare metal infrastructure and datacenter operations, including working with OS deployment tools (Foreman, Cobbler, MAAS etc.)
- Navigate through diverse cloud platforms.
- Experience with Kubernetes, or Linux certification (nice to have but not necessary).
