- Maintains the general ledger of Cubic subsidiaries
- Prepares monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
- Reconciles general ledger accounts
- Prepares account analyses for management and internal/external auditors
- Compiles and analyzes financial information
- Assists other accountants in the department with month-end close responsibilities
- May be assigned special projects

Remote Job Opportunities – Skills Required for Accountant
- Four-year college degree in accounting plus a minimum of 2-3 years of public accounting experience and/or transactional accounting experience, preferably in a contracting and/or manufacturing environment.
- CPA certification or MBA preferred. Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Excel and Office) programs, experience with SAP and Blackline a plus.
- Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel, management and external auditors.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Able to prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects, work under deadline stresses, work with a computer for an extended period of time, concentrate and stay focused.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer required. Limited to travel including international.
