Role & Responsibilities For Commercial Underwriting
- Assessing a company’s financial statements and seeing how the numbers change over time to judge various aspects of the company’s performance.
- Reviewing certain aspects of the client’s financials and other relevant information at specified dates, and preparing financial analyses to mitigate credit risk.
- Drafting credit exposure assessments and risk reports to support the annual evaluation of counterparties and include credit risk assessments, peer comparisons, industry risk evaluations, and analysis of trends.
- Assessing the downside, expected, and the management’s targets sceneries over a five to seven year time periods when considering the organization’s cash flow.
- Developing models to ascertain a firm’s value and both equity and credit worthiness.
