Key Responsibilities for Analyst Role
- Review and analyze TB Risk alerts to identify operational booking errors. Propose/Support the need for additional alerts, while optimizing the existing alerts
- Perform analysis in VPM/F3 and escalate findings
- Prepare and circulate the daily flash highlighting firm wide return metrics, PnL flow and outliers. analyze contributory/deflective large PnL moves and portfolio activity
- Assist in EOD reviews to identify booking breaks and resolve booking issues. Track and report operational risk issues to the Global Head of Operations
- Work with accounting, middle office, asset management and other departments to perform ad-hoc queries to meet the objectives of the team.
- Engage the tech team to assist in automation and workflow enhancements. Plan and execute UAT and ensure production issues for testing are resolved and correct prior to release.
- Manage your email and ensure resolution on flagged items
Eligibility for Analyst Role
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business is required.
- 1-3 years working in the financial services sector.
- Middle office or product control functions are necessary with settlement and accounting experience a plus.
- Good understanding of cash and par reconciliations with custodians or administrators is required.
- Good knowledge of bank debt, equity, and fixed income products is required.
- Experience with process improvements or project support is required.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookups, Sum if’s) and MS Outlook are required.
- Knowledge of the following systems would be advantageous: Aladdin, FIS, VPM, Accounting System, Indus Valley Partners (IVP) products, ClearPar, HIS Markit, Bloomberg.
