Job description for Housekeeping Assistant Role
- Manage inventory for housekeeping supplies and uniforms
- Interviews, trains and schedules the Housekeeping staff, conducts performance evaluations and corrective interviews as needed
- Minimum of three years hotel supervisory/management experienced
- To be acting Director of Housekeeping when Director of Housekeeping is off the property for a period of time
- Ensure that daily payroll management procedures are submitted within deadlines
- Ensure occupational health and safety standards are maintained throughout the hotel and are in compliance with local, state and Federal laws
- Make sure that all the special projects will be done perfectly and on a timely manner, window washing, pest control programs
- To maintain strong, professional relationships with the relevant representatives from vendors (suppliers), competitor hotels and other organizations
- To respond to changes in the Housekeeping function as dictated by the industry, company and hotel
- Adhere to the hotel’s rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety.
