Roles & Responsibilities for App Security Intern
- To conduct security testing on the Web, Mobile and API surfaces — Identify
- Know the vulnerabilities, application flows from start to end and suggest effective
- mitigations.
- Engage in product and engineering security architecture review and threat modelling sessions.
- Identify and address vulnerabilities discovered through the bug bounty programme —
- Evaluate impacts, confirm results and oversee remediation planning with engineering groups
- ● Develop and execute automation scripts (Python/Golang) to scale security testing and incorporate security testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze the security aspect of microservices and containerized platforms
- (Docker, Kubernetes).
- ● Work closely with developers to ensure secure and effective implementation of authentication and authorisation systems (OAuth, SAML and OIDC).
- Keep up to date on new security threats such as AI security threats,
- support them in determining their suitability with the product and infrastructure of Upstox.
- Help build in-house security development tools, documentation and knowledge sharing.

- Currently taking or completing a Computer Science Bachelor’s/Master’s degree,

- Fundamentals, such as OWASP Top 10 Web, Mobile and API.
- Practical experience with performing security testing on web, mobile, and API platforms
