Key Responsibilities for Formulation Analytical Research & Development(FAR&D)
- Conduct ICH Guideline (Q2 R1/R2) method validation.
- Develop, validate and optimize methods of analysis of drug products (tablets, capsules, injectables, semisolids etc).
- Support transfer of methods to QC or manufacturing facilities.
- Perform stability testing (accelerated, real-time, stress studies).
- Assess drug–excipient compatibility, and the degradation pattern.
- Assist with analysis during product optimization.
- Interpret stability results to determine shelf-life.
- Support scale up and tech transfer to external CMOs as appropriate.
- Evaluate formulation pilot trials and resolve troubleshooting formulating problems.
