Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is reportedly planning to increase its hiring of fresh graduates from engineering campuses in the upcoming fiscal year (FY26), surpassing this year’s commitment of 40,000. TCS Chief Human Resources Officer, Milind Lakkad, told The Economic Times that the decision is driven by optimistic growth projections.With training in cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and generative artificial intelligence (GenAI), the IT behemoth is on track to onboard the anticipated 40,000 new hires in FY25.
TCS, renowned for its strong cash generation, is shifting its focus toward hiring senior-level professionals. This initiative aligns with the company’s observation of strong growth in specific business verticals. “On the demand front, certain verticals are performing well, and we anticipate broad-based growth,” said Milind Lakkad, TCS Chief Human Resources Officer
With higher revenue and transaction pipelines in the first half of the current fiscal year, TCS and other top IT businesses have seen a period of renewed growth, which is followed by this optimistic prognosis. After a hiatus of more than a year, the majority of businesses have started hiring again on campuses.
