Responsibilities For Accounts Payable Assistant
- Responsible for timely processing of AP transactions, maintaining accuracy of general ledger coding and related taxes.
- Obtain supplier invoices, verify their accuracy, then enter them in an automated accounting system.
- Obtain and reconcile vendor statements and follow up on inconsistencies.
- Process employee expenses and reconcile corporate card statements.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures
- Maintain effective connections with business partners/vendors by making timely, accurate payments and reacting quickly to inquiries.
- Identify and promptly escalate priority issues to management.
- Assist with internal and external audit preparation and requests, as needed.
- Participate in ERP and other software and system implementations, as needed.
Experience:
- Clear communicator, capable of working with financial and non-finance associates.
- Must have multi-currency accounting experience.
- Good familiarity of UK VAT practices is preferred.
- Capable of prioritising workloads and fulfilling deadlines
- Self-motivated with the ability to take things up fast, excellent use of initiative, and drive to learn more
- Requirements: – Detail-oriented and adaptable to fast-changing environments. – Contribute to process development for continuous improvement in accuracy and efficiency.
- Proficient in Excel and at least 2-4 years of accounting experience. Paid experience is preferred.
- A bachelor or associate’s degree in accounting is preferred.
- Experience with processing employee expense reports is preferred.
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus
