Key Responsibilities of the Manager, Analytics
- The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting the different requests, formulating the approach & independently delivering error-free data & insights to the requestors on time.
- Independently deliver analytics project assignments for several key Digital marketing initiatives on SYF properties such as Digital Servicing Personalization campaigns, MarketPlace testing etc.
- Proactively propose, initiate, independently execute and own strategic projects that create business impact.
- Build a culture of delivering insights instead of data & reports. Deliver strategic insights across diverse open-ended projects.
- Acquire proficiency with different data tools, software, techniques to improve current capabilities and to create new analytics and data science solutions.
- Partner on strategic ideas and POCs targeting revenue growth & larger business adoption.
- Represent the team in multiple forums with strategic projects and build brand for the team.
- Adherence to timely delivery, accuracy and documentation in line with Audit Procedures.
- Follow audit processes, documentation and accuracy guidelines.
- Responsible and committed to the last mile execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Remediation Analytics
- Develop advanced SAS and/or SQL code, modify visual basic macros or other query tools for remediation.
- Drive remediation projects across various functions (primarily the Credit function). Understand the business requirements, ask probing questions to gather precise requirements, develop analytics solutions and identify impacted population and/or harm.
- Mentor and provide support to Analysts on data warehouse structures, data analysis tools and coding solutions.
- Ensure deliverables are of high quality and follow proper documentation and coding standards.
- Disseminate best practices throughout the team focusing on Credit processes, foster continuous improvement and reinforce commitment to stronger coding practices and support standard builds.
- Participate in various data and process initiatives across SYF and bring the team up to speed on details around these initiatives.
- Conduct data analysis/SAS coding for remediations.
- Provides leadership, analysis and support for Remediation team initiatives.
- Provides thought leadership to improve remediation analytics processes.
- Partners with leadership on efforts to improve availability and accessibility of data, as well as focusing on ways to improve efficiency.
- Process data expert – provides this expertise to other Analytics team members via learning sessions, as well as documentation of best practices and data warehouse tribal knowledge.
