Roles and Responsibilities for Instrumentation Supervisor
- Ensure all systems are working accurately and reliably.
- Choose the instrumentation technicians or contractors to perform the maintenance tasks.
- Manage the maintenance schedules.
- Repair instrumentation control system failures, and reduce the turnaround time.
- Investigate instruments such as pressure transmitters, flow meters, temperature sensors, level transmitters, control valves, and analyzers.
- Conduct safety audits and ensure compliance with the safety standards, permit-to-work, and the safety policies.
- Analyze P&ID, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and other technical drawings.
- During the maintenance and shutdown the activities, work with the other teams.
- Organize and keep calibration, maintenance, inspections, and equipment history logs.
Eligibility Criteria
- An average of 3 to 8 years of work in maintenance, calibration, commissioning, or control systems instrumentation depending on the company.
- Familiarity with field instruments. Pressure, temperature, flow, level.
- Diagnosis skills with instrumentation and control systems.
- Ability to analyze and understand P&ID, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and other technical drawings.
- Knowledge of industrial maintenance practices.
- Knowledge and understanding of the safety standards of industry and HSE.
- Ability to lead and supervise a team.
- Good reporting and planning skills.
- Good verbal skills.
- Ability and experience with calibration tools.
