- Understands and calculates all the loads on the parts
- Develop 3D CAD models and detailed 2D drawings for motorcycle structural components, in the systems like frames, subframes, and swingarms.
- Apply principles of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Serviceability (DFS) and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to all projects.
- Choose appropriate materials based on factors such as strength, weight, cost, and durability
- Basic understanding of the functions of chassis systems, such as suspension and brakes, with a deeper knowledge of calipers, discs, master cylinders, and combi-brake systems.
- Perform structural analyses and simulations to validate design performance under various conditions
