- Communicating to, and following up with, insurance companies about outstanding claims
- Tracking update statuses on claims and entering these into the billing system
- Identifying the reasons for claim denial and payment delays
- Modifying missing or incorrect claim data
- Coordinating with medical billing to supply time-critical updates
- Maintaining all documentation and notes regarding claims
- Filing claims in a timely manner to secure prompt payment from insurance
- Responding to request from insurance or clients, as quickly as possible
- Handling the aging AR (Accounts Receivable)
