Graduate Apprentice Trainee (GAT) Programme is running for a period of one year under NATS scheme in India by Volvo Group. This program is focused on increasing the level of skills in purchasing and distribution by providing practical training to recent graduates for a structured development over the course of five years. Candidates will liaise with clients and suppliers world-wide also gain knowledge in processes such as Handler Log management, Order Management & Aftermarket order requisitioning. Responsibilities for Graduate Apprentice Trainee
- Self-directed maintenance of Handler Logs and other Portfolio Activities / Order Management / Priority Aftermarket Requisitions processing
- RFQ Management including launching, quotes follow-up, and addressing supplier queries in collaboration with procurement as well as PD and XF teams
- Quote synthesis and analysis for suppliers, preliminary quote summary including multi-supplier parts breakdown cost analysis and part per supplier cost analysis performed
- Cross-functional and supplier related portfolio problem resolution. Supplier price discrepancy management and other issue resolution.
Qualification for Graduate Apprentice Trainee
- Fresh graduate with university degree in BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile/E&E/ Industrial with 65% CGPI
- Quick Learner who drives Competence Building
- Continuous Improvement and Excellence mindset with good communication skills
- Good understanding and interest for manufacturing processes and best practice costing
- Interest to make career in Supply Chain Management (SCM)
