- Listen & Understand Customer needs :By asking the right questions and taking a few extra minutes to ask follow up questions see if you can’t find out specifics about why’s, when’s how’s, you will be more efficient at diagnosing the problem and knowing which parts are faulty.Evolve customer service skills into amazing customer experience by cultivating product knowledges.
- The frontline for phone, e-mail, chat and customer service system support where a contact problem is reported.
- Be proactive in recognizing when an at risk customer is present and address accordingly by escalating to the necessary internal parties involved.
- Suggests more complicated or individualized problems to senior staff and communicates with customers regarding status of cases.
- Documents accurately and completely support requests and customer interactions.
Qualifications and Prerequisites
- Robust problem-solving abilities and ability to quickly master new tools and techniques.
- Excellent professional oral and written English communication skills, the ability to communicate factually and accurately with external customers without making unwarranted assumptions, and effective collaborative, dialog-building skills to include listening and Q&A.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science, information science, or a related field; lesser degrees must be accompanied by equivalent relevant experience.
- Collaborate effectively as part of an international team in a high-performance work environment.
- Past technical support or customer support experience working for a software company.
- Experience with ScholarOne or experience in the STEM publishing industry a plus.
- Experience with Salesforce a plus.
