Roles and Responsibilities of an UCO Bank Local Bank Officer

As a Local Bank Officer at UCO Bank, you’ll be at the heart of customer interactions, helping clients with their everyday banking tasks like making transactions, managing their accounts, and answering any questions they might have. Your goal will be to provide friendly and efficient service every step of the way. You’ll also take care of account openings and closures, making sure everything runs smoothly and follows the bank’s policies to keep things in order for both the customers and the bank.

Another key part of the role is evaluating and processing loan applications, doing credit checks, and making approval decisions. You will be overseeing the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring cash handling is done correctly, maintaining accurate records, and making sure the branch follows all banking regulations.

Eligibility Criteria for Local Bank Officer

A. Nationality/ Citizenship
A candidate must be either
(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before Jan.1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya,
Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and
Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

eligibility has been issued by the Govt. of India.
B. Age as on 01-01-2025:
Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 30 years i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1995 and not later
than 01.01.2005 (both dates inclusive)

List of Documents to be Produced at the Time of Interview for UCO Bank Hiring

Candidates must bring the following original documents and self-attested photocopies to the interview to verify their eligibility and identity. Failure to provide these documents may result in disqualification from the interview process.

1. Printout of the valid Interview Call Letter.
2. Valid system-generated printout of the online application form registered for the recruitment process.
3. Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate issued by competent authorities or SSLC/Std. X Certificate with DOB).
4. Photo Identity Proof as mentioned in Point 8 of the notification.
5. Mark sheets or certificates for educational qualifications, including a document from the Board/University confirming the result declaration on or before 01-01-2025.
6. Caste Certificate (if applicable) issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format for SC, ST, or OBC category candidates. Candidates from the OBC creamy layer or whose caste is not in the Central List should indicate their category as General.
7. OBC Declaration stating that the candidate does not belong to the Creamy Layer, along with the OBC certificate containing the ‘Non-creamy layer’ clause issued between 01.04.2024 and the interview date.
8. Income & Asset Certificate for EWS candidates, issued for the financial year 2023-24, as per government guidelines.
9. Disability Certificate in the prescribed format for Persons with Benchmark Disability category. If a scribe was used during the online exam, submit the details of the scribe in the prescribed format.
10. Certificate for persons with specified disability under the RPwD Act, 2016, if applicable.
11. Ex-serviceman Documents: A copy of the Service or Discharge book, pension payment order, and documentary proof of rank. Candidates still in service must submit a certificate confirming their release before 05-02-2026.
12. No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer for candidates serving in government/quasi-government offices, Public Sector Undertakings, or Nationalised Banks and Financial Institutions.
13. Certificate for age relaxation under 3 B (V) for persons eligible under the Rehabilitation Package for 1984 Riot Affected Persons.
14. Experience Certificates, if any.
15. Eligibility Certificate for candidates falling in categories (ii), (iii), (iv), and (v) of Point 3 B issued by the Government of India.
16. Any other relevant documents supporting eligibility.
