What you’ll do
- Build upon and enhance AI-based applications using LLMs, foundation models, and current AI API technology for solving real world product issues.
- Integrating commercial and open source language models into your application. Explore different ways to use the language models (e.g., prompt techniques), structure output, call tools, and choose which model works best for you.
- RAG & Knowledge Systems: Build RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) pipelines so artificial intelligence systems can search and interpret relevant knowledge in documents, databases and other unstructured data.
- AI Agents and Workflows: Construct and validate AI agents and multi-step processes that may utilize different tools, gather necessary context, and execute actions with appropriate control mechanisms.
- Data Processing & Retrieval: Create the pipeline to ingest documents, extract content from documents, chunk content into small parts, generate representations of each chunk using an embedding model, manage metadata of each document/chunk, and perform semantic search using those representations.
Eligibility Criteria For Data Scientist
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience as an AI engineer, machine learning engineer, software engineer, etc. Experience from top internships and/or project work utilizing AI technology will be considered as well.
- I have a high level of proficiency in Python, and can produce clean, modular and easy to maintain code.
- Basics of LLMs: Knowledge of how LLMs actually work, for example, prompts, the context window size (token limit), structured output formats, and some of the more common failure modes of LLMs.
- RAG & Embeddings Learn the basics of embeddings, vector search, document retrieval and building applications with RAG.
- Experience with REST API’s, JSON, asynchronous operations and integrating external services into applications.
