Roles & Responsibilities For IT-Engineer
- Deliver high-level (L3) technical support on network, system and cloud infrastructure.
- Design, deploy and troubleshoot network solutions based on BGP, Static Routing, and SD-WAN technologies.
- manage and configure switching technologies such as VLANs, Spanning Tree Protocol and traffic segmentation.
- Manage and maintain Access Control Lists (ACLs), Route Map and Prefix List to filter and route traffic.
- Expose to windows based environments; Linux exposure is an advantage.
- Administrate Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services).
- Create and operate Azure services such as Virtual Machines, NSGs, Storage Accounts, VNet Peering, Synapse, Databricks and others.
- Manage Office 365 through O365 Admin Center.
- Set up and administer DNS services such as cloud-based DNS services.
- Conduct frequent vulnerability tests such as Nessus; knowledge of Nessus Agent is an advantage.
- Install and support Unified Threat Management (UTM) firewalls, preferably Sophos.
- operate Web Application Firewalls (WAF) e.g., Barracuda and Email Security Gateways.
- Protection of endpoint with the support of EDR/XDR platforms (Sophos is preferred).
- SIEM tools such as ManageEngine Log360 are useful to monitor and analyze logs; experience in SOAR is a plus.
