Role & Responsibilities for AR Caller
- Claim form 1500 is analyzed to assist in confirming payment information.
- CCI and McKesson help confirm and improve the use of medical coding.
- Knowledge of the payor’s site to check claim status and patient eligibility, as well authorization is required.
- Knowledge of various medical fields pertaining to billing, including, but not limited to, cardiology, radiology, gastroenterology, pediatrics, and emergency medicine as well as surgery is required.
- Experience with a Clearing House system, Waystar, as well as other e-commerce systems that submit claims.
- Knowledge of the CPT range and the use of appropriate modifiers.
- Experience in communicating with a payor as well as communicating with medical personnel in order to address problems with the submission of a claim and expedite processing is required.
Eligibility Criteria for AR Caller
- Completion of Graduate Degree.
- Willing to sign on for a retention period.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in both physician revenue cycle management, and Accounts Receivable calling.
- Knowledge of Claim form 1500 and other healthcare billing forms is an advantage.
- Knowledge of medical coding tools CCI, and McKesson.
- Adequate knowledge of the following specialties; Cardiology, Radiology, Gastroenterology, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Emergency medicine, Surgery.
