Roles and Responsibilities for Physician Assistant
- Document patient medical history and symptoms
- Review and evaluate patient’s medical issues
- Perform physical examinations
- Recognize illnesses and injuries to diagnose under physicians’ guidance
- Place and analyze diagnostic tests (x-rays, blood tests, scans)
- Prescribe medicines (when legally allowed)
- Plan and/or execute treatment plans
- Help doctors in surgeries and medical processes
- Administer First Aid and Emergency medical care.
- As a patient progresses on treatment and response, monitor them
- Provide health management education and disease prevention education for patients.
