Key Responsibilities For Commis Chef

• To help prepare and cook food as outlined by recipes and standards of Hyatt.
• Prep vegetables, meats, sauces and garnishes prior to service.
• Assist with receiving, checking and storing kitchen materials and ingredients.
• Help senior chefs at buffet, banquet and a la carte service.
• Inspect food quality and food presentation prior to serving.
• Use kitchen equipment safely; report maintenance problems.
• Minimize food waste and help control kitchen costs.
