Roles and Responsibilities of Accountant
- Reconcile balance sheet account and other cleanup required monthly.
- Prepare and post journal entries for revenue, accruals, depreciation, intercompany transactions and reclasses.
- Keep up the subledgers and the supporting schedules in respect of fixed assets, pre-paid expenses, fuel etc. ledgers.
- Work in conjunction with operations, billing and payroll teams to make sure all the activity is captured in the correct pay period.
- Facilitate in financial due diligence for acquisitions of potential acquisition candidates
- Facilitate integration of acquired companies into ERP and accounting processes (G/L mapping/chart of accounts alignment, consolidations, reconciliations, policy adoption/etc.).
- Assist with proforma reporting creation as necessary.
- Collaborate across Finance, Ops, and IT to seamlessly integrate during integrations.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- 1 – 3 years of Accounting/Finance experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles.
- High level of self-motivation and very detail orientated.
- Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines is essential.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Reliance upon good judgment and limited experience to plan and accomplish goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- McLeod ERP Experience a plus
