A Trainee Screener will be responsible to run the In-Line Hold Baggage Screening System (ILHBS) and assist in Screening Passenger Baggage and detection of prohibited items. The position provides exposure to the operations of airport security, baggage screening and safety of operations of the aviation sector. On selection, the key focus of this role will be to partner with airport security and facilitators and maintain secure and safe operations within the airport environment. The role of the Screener involves working in shifts, which would include day, evening, and night shifts, as well as weekends and public holidays, based on operational requirements. Adani Airport Trainee Screener – Responsibilities
- Be in control of the ILHBSS and its operation at baggage screening.
- Know what to look for during screening and report it if you see it.
- Be aware of rules and know if or when they might change.
- Be aware of the baggage and its movement at all times.
- Work with the Operations team to be aware of what they are doing, when they are doing it, how it relates to what you are doing, and anything they need you to do.
- Be prepared to provide your assistance to Operations in the event of a security alert.
- Continue writing screening reports.
Eligibility Criteria
- Criteria include a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline (from a recognized university).
- New graduates may apply.
- Good communication skills and an ability to work with people are required.
- Knowing the basics of computers is an advantage.
- Willingness to work on a rotating shift basis including night shifts, weekends, and holidays is a must.
- Applicants should be detail oriented.
- Ability to work in a challenging environment is a must.
- An applicant should be capable of performing a physically challenging task.
