Key Responsibilities
- Feature Development: Assist with the development of new features and capabilities, which may include rewriting some of the small, but important, parts of the CrewManager system.
- System Optimization: Analyze and design complex systems and applications, and implement specialized optimization programs to deal with complex technical challenges.
- Issue Resolution: Collaborate with technical teams to gain an understanding of the software irregularities, resolves issues raised by customers, and act on requests for improvements.
- Prototyping: Create, publish and test applications aimed at providing snapshots of ideas to support and validate new architectural approaches.
- Independent Delivery: Deliver on assigned technical tasks by writing quality code and performing all necessary steps in the Agile process on your own, at your own initiative.
Skills & Eligibility Criteria
- We are looking for students completing their COOP in a program related to Computer Science and Engineering.
- You are required to have hands-on experience in Java/J2EE and at least Java 8, and experience with Spring Framework.
- Knowledge of TDD, JUnit4+, Mockito, and Version Control Systems with Git is required to some degree.
- Must have good knowledge of SOAP and REST web services and ORM frameworks.
- Have strong fundamentals of OOP and basic fundamentals of clouds (preferably GCP / AWS).
- You have excellent communication skills, good interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
