Key Responsibilities Required for Software Engineer

• Develop and maintain the software components for Grid Software and Power System solutions through design, development, testing and maintenance.
• Writing Features in C++, Java and other modern software development technologies following engineering best practices.
• Work in code refactoring and modernization initiatives to improve maintainability, performance, and scalability
• Interact with senior engineers, architects and the domain experts to understand hiring and deliver quality.
• Translate business needs of power systems and utility domain to robust and reliable software implementations.
• Create algorithms, structures and analytical functions in the product modules.
• Design, code review, unit test and debug activities.
• Use agile, CI/CD, automated testing, security and quality standards in the all stages of development lifecycle.
• Monitor and debug application workflows, defects and production issues

Eligibility Criteria

• Education:Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering or other Disciplines within the STEM fields.
• Previous experience of 2-5 years in software development or software product engineering.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies and Source control tools.
• Experience with software refactoring, code maintenance and debugging.
• Familiarity with the data and have exposure on Databases, APIs & distributed application development.
• It’s preferable if you understand cloud technology, microservices or modern web frameworks
• Ability to quickly learn new skills and work as a proactive member of an engineering team.
