Responsibilities for Data Center Tech Intern
- Physical infrastructure On-site datacenter physical infrastructure deployment Support.
- Install, replace and troubleshoot cables and hardware.
- Manipulate data bearing devices (ex.) Hard drives, solid state drives, etc.)
- Operate in a ticket based setting.
- Operate pallet jacks or other assisted lifting equipment to move equipment.
- As needed, support the Datacenter Inventory and Asset Management Team (DIAT) with shipping/receiving and inventory management to handle high work loads.

Responsibilities for Research Sciences Intern
- Design, develop and test advanced algorithms on large datasets and state-of-the-art research of machine intelligence and machine learning applications.
- Introduce scaled system prototypes to AI applications.
- Work closely with team members on designing systems up to production level.
- Find solutions to the real world, large-scale problems.
- Conduct research on new tools, technologies and methods being applied by research community under guidance of others and share your expertise around a particular tool/method to assist in planning of research projects.
- Develop a familiarity with their work and how it applies to Microsoft products or business units and helps technology transfer efforts, serving on standards bodies, patenting, writing white papers, creating or supporting tools/services inside Microsoft or consulting services to products or business units.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
