Support Engineer Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop systems and tools to assist customers with technical issues and/or customer feedback.
• Capture customer dissatisfaction with a product and attempt to resolve the dissatisfaction.
• Manage and resolve service desk requests within the defined SLA.
• Redirect demanding or complicated customer service requests to the appropriate personnel.
• Record and store customer service requests and the methods you employed to resolve the requests.
• Prepare and store systems and applications for use.
• Inform and educate customers on the use of the product and/or application.
• Deliver the customer requirements to the design and quality assurance (QA) teams.
• Deliver customer service requests to the engineering teams as the request relates to the engineering of the product.
• Validate the engineering changes to the product or application against the issues described in the customer service request.

Support Engineer – Eligibility Criteria

• Awareness of diagnostic and troubleshooting procedures and techniques.
• Knowledge of computer systems and components, software, establishing connections and understanding the basics of operating systems.
• Typically, the exposure to Windows, Linux or Mac OS is preferred.
• Experience with database concepts, SQL and cloud is an asset.
• Should be able to respond courteously to clients and staff.
• Requires verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work 24 hours/7 days.
• Should be able to deal with various support requests and manage time to attend to other pending tasks.
• Experience with support ticket systems and incident management systems is a plus.
