The organization is bolstered by key entities such as the Development Monitoring and Evaluation Organization (DMEO), the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), and an autonomous body known as the National Institute of Labour Economics Research and Development (NILERD).

Eligibility criteria for internships are open to bona fide students from recognized universities or institutions within India or abroad. For undergraduate students, completion or appearance in the term-end exams of the 2nd year/4th semester with a minimum of 85% or equivalent marks in the 12th class is required. Graduate students, including those pursuing research or Ph.D., should have completed or appeared in the term-end exams of the first year/2nd semester, with a minimum of 70% or equivalent marks in their graduation.

Additionally, students awaiting admission to higher studies after completing their final exams may also be considered for an internship if they have secured 70% or more cumulative marks in all years/semesters of their graduation/post-graduation until the application date. The internship period spans at least 6 weeks but should not exceed 6 months, and interns failing to complete the required period will not receive a certificate.

The experience certificate will be issued by the Adviser of the concerned Subject Division, confirming the successful completion of the internship.
